about
Our friend Joe Grumbine was arrested years ago for operating a legal medical marijuana dispensary in southern California. After a circus, a sham of a trial the judge was forced to recuse himself, and Joe was set to get a new trial. That new trial is about to begin, and yesterday Joe was denied bail. He is now behind bars, in prison for legally helping sick people with an amazing plant. This song is about Joe and his fight against a corrupt system. All of the money made from the sale of this song will go to Joe Grumbine, either to his books in prison, or for his legal defense fund, whichever he and his family thinks is the best use of the money. Thank you for your support!!
lyrics
Joe is a farmer
With beautiful daughters
A wife who stands by him
And plenty of good friends
He's a guilty man
They call him a guilty man
You see he grew a little plant
to relieve their pain
But he's a guilty man
Joe has a big grin
A light that shines within
He chose to help people
And he kept it legal
He's a guilty man
They call him a guilty man
He helped our Mother Earth
to heal the sick
And he's a guilty man
One day Joe was raided
His rights desecrated
He went to jail
Will justice prevail
Is he a guilty man?
Or is he a medicine man
Now he's fighting the system
With all he's worth
Cause he's an innocent man
See they make you pay
In the USA
when you're an innocent man
